Training of 50 rural women aged 18 to 50 in the Baguineda region, 30 km from Bamako in traditional pastry making, painting on all supports, pottery, making traditional carpets and making trousseaux for brides.
Our organization has established partnerships with national and local organizations to benefit from their training support and to support beneficiaries in post-training. Public spaces are put at the disposal of the project to be the training place for rural women.
A marketing and sales strategy will be deployed through participation in local fairs, in partnership with craft associations during the summer of 2019.
Administrative steps will be taken with the competent authorities, such as the Ministry of Women’s Promotion or Employment to issue a certificate of competence and craftsmanship expertise as a trainer to women who have followed the training for 3 to 6 months .This rural women training project aims at safeguarding the cultural heritage of Mali but also in the future, we wish to create a space that will serve as a place of exhibition of the elaborated material and as a training place for women.
